NOTOCORD-fps is designed to analyze Field Potential (FP) waveforms collected from micro-electrodes array systems (MEA). This document describes the characteristics Reference information and how to interact with the software User guide.

FP signal is an electrical signal related to a cardiomyocyte intracellular activity.

Electrodes are capturing Intracellular action potentials from multiple cells after a complex transformation involving multiple parameters as:

  • distance between cells and electrodes
  • conductivity of the medium around cells
  • cellular movements
  • depolarization propagation inside the well
  • electrodes and ground physical organization
  • amplification properties
  • signal filtering properties
  • sampling rate
